Down here in West Cornwall it's so rare to see a newer Sti that when I occasionally pass a certain blue 15 plate one nr Penzance, their arm almost falls off waving. I always wave if I notice; only classics don't reply sometimes , but that's hatches for you.

youre right about hatches although when I had my hawk I had the same issue, saying that it was a Spec D, so basically looked down on like hatches. The most amusing was waving at classics in a FSTI that really blew their minds

Filling up my fsti today (again) a black blob eye slowed right down and made sure I'd seen him and gave me a wave, always puts a smile on your face, it's nice to be nice and we're select club of connoisseurs

Had a spontaneous wave exchange with a gold wheeled classic Impreza Sport earlier. I think it was move shock than anything to see another classic.

I can't say i've had that problem in my Spec-D but then i guess the ones that really know their Scoobs know never to assume with a Grey Hawk. Although lets face it... Spec-D drivers do enjoy being incorrectly identified... especially from the rear.
