Far too much money IMHO for the Cosworth. I guess the exclusivity may sell it?

As the article says "though it still doesn’t look or feel like a 50-grand car. Which is what the CS400 is. £49,995 is a near doubling of the £27,590 a standard STI costs, leaving a yawning price gap between the two."

Have the remaining UK STI's been stripped and converted to Cosworth's or is this a genuine production run?
The 330S is a remapped 2.5 engine. the Cosworth engine is totaly reworked. Not a remap. Stronger botton end, pistons etc.

Plus, Cosworth don't work for free. In the £50k price tag, is their development costs.

but you can buy these parts at the min from cosworth + a good turbo and it would put out 500bhp and save you a load.

This will always be an odd ball due to the small numbers being made.

Dont think it will bring that much to either brand, Subaru or Cosworth as this car is being made in such small numbers that its not going make a huge impact on the market.

Overall what is the purpose of the relationship between Subaru and Cosworth, what is their plan??

i think the sad fact is if IM and prodrive pulled there fingers out and did a run of of P'2 for say £30-£35000 we would of all been happy, but since leaving the wrc subaru have lost there way
and i dont think this is a very good way of getting car fans back on broad.

Add in running and repairing costs for the GTR and you'll soon see the CS400 as a bargain

We'll put it like this.
I myself have a 330S which in itself it the top of the range Euro model with different wheels and extra power.

Now the Cosworth look like its the standard UK model converted.
Those seats are just the basic seats recovered.

I really would have thought that for 50K your base car would have been the top of the range model so to speak.
So I suspect IM are just shifting old stock

It's been said all before:

1) It'll be great, no doubt.....maybe not as great as it should have been though!
2) 50k is too much for a car of this genre - end of!
3) Questionable VFM when you look at what can and has been achieved by other Tuners such as Litchfield
4) They'll sell them all without breaking sweat. To some, it'll be worth every penny for the exclusivity value alone. Good luck to em!

I have to say its for the hardened scooby fanatics, nice 0-60 though.

I must admit thought id like some of them seats but fir 50k no thanks, RS6 for me or summat else with actually a nice interior, i withstand the tacky plastic cos mine only cost 20, if id spent that much id want luch interior and **** loads of gadgets and rapid V10 or something hehe

Go look at the 330S seats - much better in my opinion.
