why don't manufacture make filler at both side of the car?

Very nice. I have a classic too but very much younger than yours. Have not got twin tanks on it either.

My guess is a Volvo S40/V50 2.0D, judging by the fuel remaining.

By the way the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 are virtually identical cars with identical dashboards. (One is a 5 seater, the other a 7). They have filler caps on different sides. Go figure. Well, they are French, what do you expect?
