but DVLA have a tendancy of registering JDM STI's as other things like WRX's (my first MY03 Spec C was registered as a WRX and I needed to send it off again, my new car has a cc of 1996 
) but those who know can pick up on a JDM car over a UK car any day 
and I sent the guy the list of vin numbers anyway.Tony

On 30-May-10 at 17:49:21 BST, seller added the following information:
I HAVE HAD SEVERAL EMAILS REGARDING THE CAR - MAINLY FROM THE GUYS ON SCOOBY NET
THEY MORE OR LESS ALL SAY THE SAME THING WHICH IS THAT THE CAR IS NOT A TYPE UK - NOR HAS PPP
BUT IS INFACT A MUCH HIGHER SPEC STI JDM IMPORT
THE DIFFERENCES CONSISIT OF REAR WIPER - TINTED REAR WINDOWS - ADJUSTABLE DCCD - TWIN SCROLL TURBO
MATCHED INLET MANIFOLDS - WATER SPRAY - AN 8K REV LIMIT WITH STRONGER INTERNAL ENGINE PARTS PLUS SOME OTHER BITS AND BOBS
APPARENTLY ITS A MUCH BETTER CAR AND WORTH MORE THAN THE TYPE UK - THE LAST OWNER TOLD ME IT WAS 325 BHP BUT CANNOT CONFIRM THIS
IT IS A QUICK CAR THOUGH

Fair play to the guy though we pointed out it wasnt what he was advertising it as and he has updated his advert. I suppose if he didnt know much about scoobys he can only go by what he has been told and what is on the paper work. Seems like a decent seller tbh
