You need to at least double your service costs, remember there are two, one ~100 quid, t'other about 400 quid, so that's 500 quid.

And boy do you have expensive tyres

250 quid a corner??????

More like 100-120 quid a corner. You should be able to get a full set for 500 quid.

You need to add on brakes. Discs and pads. I've budgeted for two sets of pads per set of discs. Depends what you go for as well and what is currently on the vehicle. A set of Group N discs and pads from TSL come in at about 500 quid for the fronts only.

Thumbs up

petrol for year = £1700
Service £215.68
4 * tyres = £1000
Tax £160
Insurance = £1500

total £4575.68

Feel free to add on
Tyres and service prices are the wrong way round but yep not far off.

I included tyres in my 1000 estimate of servicing and parts
I would have thought with the details you have given its gonna cost 4K at least

But what about the one after? Unless you plan to keep the car for just a year you need to plan a bit further ahead. I tend to do about 5 years of cost and average it over the year and put that money aside each month. That way, when the big services come up, I should have enough stashed away already.

One thing to check as well is that the cambelt has been changed on schedule (60000 miles???) cos this is a costly number

I bought my 94 WRX nearly three years a go and at the time I was on a bit less than £16,000, I'm on a bit more than that now - so it can be done!

I've done 45,000 miles in mine and changed the tyres twice and had the usual servicing costs. MPG has averaged about 22 - 24, a bit less on weekends .

BTW I am selling mine and it is about the same miles, spec etc. I very much doubt that it is putting out 300BHP though...

If your friend is interested I will be letting mine go for a bit less than the one advertised - might cover some of the running costs....

Mail me if your friend is interested/wants more info on running this car

Cheers

Richard
p.s. it has 4 new tyres (Toyo Proxes), recent service but standard 16" wheels.
