I don't know Duncan as i have no gauges. Well at the moment to i get me self some anyway.
The mapper told me it was at.9 before he worked on it and that it was at 1.4 when he had finished.
Going on 4wdrolling road tomoz and getting it plugged in to see what is really going on.

Pretty much as above. He spent a couple of hours checking things on the car as it wasn't right he said asfter doing several runs. He then changed the pill and checked some pipes and did another few hours of driving whilst mapping. He was also listening for det with headphones. Spot on!

not sure taking it to a dyno will help, just add another variable..
the car is hitting the boost cut end of.. you shouldn't have to change pills.. yes check pipes are all on but the workshop has done that.. mapper should see the car now..
Sometimes communication through another cannot be idea and perhaps he has offered but it needs sorting by the mapper.. not taking to a dyno so you can see it hit the boost cut (which will cause damage eventually) again.
imho

I am gonna get in touch with the mapper tomorrow to see when he can come and sort it out. I just don't want to do any damage so just wanna check it is ok. Do you think it will be a waste of money?
Believe me if he was round the corner i would have been there straight away!

yep.. to be fair he may know little about it, garage may not have wanted to trouble him.. could be a minor mistake.. although some of you comment does sound like they don't necessarily map subaru's everyday?

Update!
Been playing with car these last few days. The car cuts out between 4000 and 4500 revs in six gear only.
However it won't be long till it gets sorted now as mapper is back up on Monday to sort it out. Whooohoooo

Car is all sorted. It was cutting out 4200 bang on. It took us about 6 runs to sort it but it is done now. Checked every gear almost right the way through and it is fine.
When he found what it was it was a simple fix.
