IMO with that sort of distance it would come down to drivers skill a lot as well, since they would be better at putting the most power while under control down also being quicker and smoother changing through the gears, maintaining a better level of acceleration.

Basically not all about the car drivers ability would also play a big part, not forgetting tune set ups on each, accel vs. top end etc.

i was heading out to dobbies garden centre on sunday afternoon, dont remember seeing another scoob though? i have mica red classic my00 standard wheels etc, w plate. does that sound like the car you saw?

Why is everyone on this thread surprised that a classic with 330bhp will murder a newage with 400+ ?? Classics are approx 200kilos lighter. It's not rocket science lads.
