I gave up when we started trying for a family... last thing I wanted was to have my son\daughter recoil from the stink of ciggies if I wanted a cuddle..plus I didn't want to depart this world before seeing them both grow up and have kids of their own... so 100% commitment from day one.... not touched a ciggie in 3 years now.
Since I was 16 my lung capacity had been 75% of the average volume of someone my size (asthma initially)... that carried on until I gave up smoking... now it's 95% and I feel soo much better for it

Been of the cigs for 14 years now, went from 30 a day to nowt not even a wee sneeky cig. I found 2 patches placed over your eyes and you wont be able to find your cigs lol..... kidding aside first few weeks were hell but that was back in the days when you could smoke every where pubs etc. I think now it would be easier as you are now treated as a social out cast.
The best is yet to come when you will get your taste back and you will be too busy eating to thinks of cigs. Good luck and dig in, the craving will ease in a few weeks. Remember a smoker is like a alchoholic when you give up you are not a non smoker, its just the time since your last cig.

I find it very surprising that the last thing I would want to do is to smoke another ciggie. The temptation has gone completely. I never thought I would ever see that day at the time.

Another Champix user here. 13 weeks since my last ***
Trippy dreams and a trumpy bum are in my opinion a fun side effect
I know a few people who've used it, all of which have kicked the **** on the first try.
I didn't feel totally committed to quitting, it was more that i felt i should, so it's suprising to me that i managed to kick it.
If anyone is thinking of quitting, i suggest seriously looking into this wonder drug.
BTW - each week i've been putting the money i would have spent on the **** to one side. Upto press i have just short of £400 saved for my 50" plasma.
