Depends if yours is a STi or a WRX

Sti (6 speed and Brembo brakes) has 17x7.5 (MY01-MY04) 17x8 (MY05+) so 225 although 235 is fitted to JDM 17x8 and works better IMHO.
WRX (5 speed and 4pot brakes) has 17x7 so 215
if gold wheel could be off an STi so 225, but could also be WRX300 wheels which are gold 17x7

bung a picture up if in doubt

Also if a WRX may not have front limited slip Diff like the STi's which does make a huge difference in the Wet IMHO

It's a WRX, so looking like 17 x 7?

It's very unusual to see a scooby with such a rubbish set of mismatched tyres.
Call me mister cynical but do you think it had a good set on it & they just put any old cr*p on it when it was sold?

From when I first saw the to when I purchased them they remained the same, but prior to, yeah I guess its a possibility. Either that or they had a phobia of rain...having said that, all had good tread so if you were going to do it proper...

Yes so 215 would be right IMHO

No DCCD and No front diff to aid you in the Wet IIRC

I imagine DCCD would help here, but that's not to say the wrx isn't capable in the wet. I haven't had any scary moments in mine, but drive with care in the wet.

I can say though that changing from the stock bridgestone RE050s to F1 GSD3s made a massive difference. Much better cornering in the dry and no comparison when it's wet. The RE050s used to be unsettled by standing water where the F1s just cut straight through.

People seem to rate the vreddies top now and -kd be tempted to try them, but - have no complaints with the F1s.

Note comparison is with old non-asymmetric RE050s.

Geo + anti lift kit + ARBs will boost cofidence too.
