Manged to reduce this slightly by turning teh volume right down on the rear and front channels of my surround system, so the only audio is via the centre channel. Can still hear it, but least its not all around me. Arrrgggh.
It is possible to notch the noise out in the end, but it is a flaming nuisance. Why can't they just watch the play rather than spend all that time making such a ridiculous noise.
The organisers should be aware that it will turn the TV spectators off from watching and that might lose them some wonga in the end.
Like Flighty says your brain filters it out after a while, I actually nodded off at half time and woke up to see the Frogs poor display against Uruguay before dropping off again, a vuvuzla wouldn't make a good alarm clock !!
I wish they'd been louder during the Argie match so didn't have to listen to bloody Mick Mccarthy's useless commentary What are the BBC doing using him, he's shocking. He couldn't even pronounce the Nigerian players names
