As for the rest of the team, well you're 100% right of course.
Agree about his later 'save' as did all the blokes at a family bash yesterday.

Is it possible he was bribed to let one through? I know it's happened in the past.

If Green was wearing proper goal keeping gloves instead of ****ing tea cosies then maybe the ball would have stuck ! The fundamentals of goal keeping is keep eyes on the ball and get body behind ball . He failed on both counts - sorry but I'd ship him out .

everyone is moaning about green, yes he dropped a howler, but its not an excuse for the rest of the team, poor performance, if they get through the first stages they wont be in it for long, may as well take the flags down now folks and save having to do it later

No it is not, it is a perfectly reasonable possibility. If he had the time to get right behind the ball he would probably have stopped it dead. It is a matter of what could be done at that moment. He did well to get near the ball with a point blank shot anyway.

Your seemingful bias is not allowing you to take a fairminded look at what happened.

Your statement about "luck" is sheer nonsense.

It's only losers that talk about luck, not winners. The whole England sqaud played badly, not just green.

I agree with what you say about the team, but you are being unfair on Green.

Sorry Les, maybe I am just getting fed up hearing about poxy football. I have to drive home from work through a sea of tacky flags hanging off absolutely everything and open my lounge windows to be presented with a 6ft x 6ft flag on the neighbours wall. Then, when I think, ok, I'll give it a chance and try and get into it this year, I am presented with that rubbish.
I am sick of hearing football songs on the radio, seeing football adverts on the tv and having to walk up my local high street though a gang of pissed yobs, sorry, football fans telling me to 'root for England'. Who else am I going to support you ****ing prat?

F1 all the way for me. Totally different kind of fan base. Sorry for the rant but I think I needed it!

Well I can sympathise with you there, and I agree about F1 too. At least we are not getting that kind of hassle here. I am not a football fan either but only watch because it is our team there and we might even see a decent game occasionally.

Glad the rant helped anyway!
