Aww they are repsecting your privacy. Probably complaints from the federation members that it keeps telling people they are in Krispy Kremes or something lol.
DD trackballs are indeed very yesterday, but were more effective that the scrollwheel they replaces, and imo more user friendly than D pads for sure.
I fully agree, they should be offering a free bumper with them. I guess its the high cost of fame. The more desirable and followed something becomes, the more that is expected of them.

Just to lighten the mood slightly, yesterday I received an email to my Blackberry sent from the mobile data department at work. Something along the lines of they have upgraded the OS inside it and it needs updating by simply following the instructions.
Easy to do and the BB is working again in around a minutes time.
However, they've changed something rather silly and now everytime any of us use google maps, we keep getting a message saying "This application may pinpoint your position. Do you wish to allow it?"![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
No ****! I'd have thought it'd be really useful for a GPS based device to be able to pinpoint where I am...![Lol1](images/smilies/lol1.gif)

Couldn't give less of a **** about the iphone/android debate, but if you're going to cite other manufacturers you have to at least get your facts right otherwise it brings into question the validity of your own post.

I still maintain that the antenna issue is almost entirely media hyped, I've now tried two iPhones and have failed to have any effect. Why should Apple pay out for something imagined by news hungry websites and Apple hating people with nothing better to do.

You really are dumb.
Google tailors your web results based on your history, ergo you get taken to Apple, presumably because you spend your evenings hunched over cracking one out over shiny things.
Straw man arguments the best you got? Again?

As I'm sat at a hotel computer right now I very much doubt the result is based on my browsing. Same result earlier today on my Macbook and my work computer. Anyone else care to try?

Possibly a difference between google.co.uk and google.com, as I also got Yahoo.
In fact, it is. Changed the google toolbar to use .com instead of .co.uk and the apple site is top of the list, but it's second on .co.uk

I stood in the Apple store and got 4-5 to all drop from full to one bar within thirty seconds. It did not however go to no service.
I fully accept what Apples explanation of the issue is, and agree it could well be the case. But if that is the case, then all it says is once again the iPhone has lousy reception.
So just curious to know, Ant, Jack..... If you hold your phone left handed cupped in your palm, with full signal, does it drop signal strength or stay full?

OK I'll give you that one I should have stated Google.com. But you get the point, your widgets are just an imitation of a function Apple have been championing for years, a function that's outdated.

Like I said, straw man argument...
You say Android is a copy of iOS.
I say no it isn't, it's totally different.
But then you prove your point by saying if you Google "widget" the first result is Apple.
Good logic there.

That's really weird then Jack, maybe it's your internal pips giving it a boost or something lol.
Like i say I stood in the apple store and did a few on the trot. Takes about thirty seconds for the signal to drop right down.
That said, apparently apple are suggesting AT&T are also at fault, so that could explain the consistency here maybe?
I will have to try another store before I leave.

Oh double posts, woohoo . Weird how they have started now.
With regards to widgets. I think there comes a point where copying and imitation are no longer relevant. I think it has been long enough now to say Apple innovated with the idea, and other have made their own versions of a popular idea.
No one denies that Apple started a whole new way of living so to speak, but to bitch about everything that comes out that dares to be similar, a little silly me thinks.
Personally I find Android very different and also very pleasing, can't wait to see how their tablet comes out too.

Nope it doesn't snaz. I don't see what the fuss is about surely if you have a £500 phone you would want to protect it with a case.
I've seen and played with android phone it's nice but it's not as slick as the iPhone, That's my opinion.
When a android phone gets released that can do hd on the fly editing , talk to me

A friends drops all the time, with ease and she is a dinky girl too.
The whole case argument is valid indeed, but plenty of people have never used cases on their phones, Inc iPhones. I for one rarely use any kind of case. The whole idea of it being an object of beauty is to show it off. In short, not everyone shares the same sentiment about cases lol.
As for the androids that shoot in HD, I am totally our of touch so can't comment if one is available or coming soon, but it's not everyones priority, although is very slick and trick indeed.
Personally I prefer neither as they are touch screen devices and far too small for my liking, so neither ticks my boxes, to stay impartial lol

I was asked an opinion Snazy and I gave it, Android is an imitation of iOS, that's clear to everyone but a buffoon. Imitation is not a bad thing at all, it's good for us all. Then some no mark comes along and tells me that Android is completely different because it has Widgets and Apple doesn't, I found that insanely funny as Apple have been at the top of the Widget game for many years, in fact a whole bunch of Widget developers have moved to producing and making cold hard cash from iPhone applications.

From that perspective I see your point Jack. However to shun something immediately because you feel it is an imitation with limitation is short sighted too.
I think we both know Android are doing incredibly well, and their right hand men HTC also seem to be outdoing themselves too. which is only a good thing for the market I'm sure.
Bring on BB OS 6.0 . The game changer lol

I'm sure there is one with hd recording I'm talking about editing it.
Some people generally don't like iPhones like yourself snaz but majority of them are riding the bandwagon and normally they're the people that can't afford one

Now, Now Snazy, I never mentioned Limitations I have a great love for all things Google and an equal affection for open source software. Google and their open source efforts have done a great job - riding on the coat tails of Apple - by bringing a lot of benefit to people who either can't afford the real deal or want something different and fair play to them. But I stand by the fact that you're a buffoon if you can't see the imitation.

Lol Jack I think the time has come to move on from the imitation argument. All great things are invented, then at some point other innovate from a great idea, which was indeed apple's.
Personally I think Android have got close enough to the idea, but remained far enough away to make it something different to offer the consumer.
Ant, you are right mate, the iPhone is not to my liking, too small to make it of any interest to me. Which is the reason I have no interest in editing a video on the bloody things either lol.
I agree though, there are som haters with no objective, then there are others who just choose not to like something lol

I do hope this goes onto another page soon, I'm getting tired of this browser and having to caress the screen to get to the bottom of the page all the time
