Don't touch Area52 with a bargepole....or anything else for that matter, steer well clear or you'll possibly get more than you bargained for

Yeah they are that busy they cant return calls to customers lol
Thats when they want to spend money and that bird who answers the phone has no idea about customer service,
I do wonder how they are still in business looking at the amount of engines that have gone pop for one reason or another and the poor customer services,

Over a week for return call and only after you have chased them that`s not how a proper company is run so Id hate to imagine what their rebuilds are really like.

Personally never had a problem with anyone there.

I ordered a new crank from them and it arrived fully sealed from the subaru factory. However once opened, it was found to be damaged. The packaging was in perfect condition so it was clear it was damaged at the factory.

I called Area 52 atraight away and explained my findings. Without question the guys dispatched me a new crank the same day and appologised for any inconvenience caused.

Mike, Jase and anyone else ive ever spoken to has always been helpful and polite.

I cant speak for others, and am sorry to hear of some of the other stories. But from a personal point of view. My customer service from Area 52 was flawless and i would use them again without question.

I have a mate who lives near them and he used them for a engine work, servicing, etc and was happy. I never heard him say anything bad.
Not used them myself, there is only one garage for me from now on. Starts with R, ends with S and had CM in the middle! LOL.

Are they still in buisness !

Ain't heard a reply after my phone call so;

MT/ Jase, I'd be really chuffed if you sorted out the damage you did to the STI badge on the steering wheel £750 plus vat an fitting, 3 subaru dealers said replacing the badge is not a option being due part of the air bag module, hence accident scenario might lose an eye, could you also sort out the undertray an fixings £150 plus vat fitting, and the oil catch can that was never fitted due to none in stock at the time !

So if you can sort this issue out I'd be greatful

As for the blown engine, lets just say for now that's motorsport !

RCM all the way,top class service, great back up,fantastic build quality,Martys P1,Clives P1,my WR1 the Team Ice car and the Gobstopper, and theres a very nice classic being sorted at the moment.
Time attack winners,T.O.T.B.champions,you never find them on any websites they let their cars do the talking.
As for Area 52 never used them cos the only guy to touch my car is Matt Clark.

Must admit it is relieving to here good positive stories on here. There are just way too many sharks out there fleecing folk with no backup.
Think if it was'nt for people posting quality service experiance on here the whole Subaru "THING" would be brought in to a whole new light, corrupt and wrong.
Thank god for the likes of Carnetix,APi, RCMS, Scoobyclinic, Lateral, Zen and Engine Tuner!! Keep up the good work

Default Parts

My one experience With Scoobymania was purchasing Defi gauge/s, parts arrived in good time, but the packaging had clearly been opened and was dirty.

Not too surprised to find the sensor was missing....

To be fair it was dispatched the same day I phoned, so a mixed response from me.

dunx

P.S. My two friends who had engine work there, that's another matter....

I bought all my Defi gauges etc from them, over the counter. No problems, and when one of the little connectors came un-connected duriung fitting, a new one was dispatched FOC and was with me the next day.

So good service as far as I'm concerned.

Issue here is that anyone with half a brain cell can set a website up flogging aftermarket parts, fair play to them for that. Problem is taking your car there for them to carry out work on it.
