Good overtime opportunity more like. ![Whatever Anim](images/smilies/Whatever_anim.gif)
Can anybody really trust the integrity of the police anymore.
Who says he's deranged? I reckon he's showing himself to be a rather smart cookie. He's certainly making mugs of the plods.
Another thing... How much is this 'manhunt' costing the nation? 20 armored Land Rovers shipped in from Northern Ireland? All seems a bit over the top to me.

Over the last two shifts, we've had two separate alleged sightings of Moat in Notts.
Yesterday he was supposedly driving a black Fiesta into Notts from Lincoln and the shift before, he was supposedly leaving the M1 at Junction 24.
Both turned out to be incorrect sightings from over-excited members of the public panicking.

He doesn't seem to be hiding, looking at some of the sightings of him on the local news.
One picture showed him looking in a shop window![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
My question is, if they have pictures of him, how come they have not caught him. Are the cctv people not contacting the plod

Seeing all the police hunting him across the hills reminds me of that classic Porridge episode when Fletcher escapes and runs across the moors all night only to end up right back where he started ![Lol1](images/smilies/lol1.gif)
This seems just as comical. When they do find him he's going to end up with more holes than a tea bag.

Also of course what will happen is that when they do shoot him there will then be some ridiculous public enquiry wasting millions of tax payers money trying to establish if the armed response officer/whoever who shot him should be tried for murder

Sadly, 99.9% of police officers wont be trained for this.
Anyone who has done an E&E course will know its quite a long process and an even longer process do do the counter E&E training.
The problem is, half of the area is now contaminated, they have had 100s of armed officers plodding up and down tracks etc in large groups. Anyone who would have had any chance of finding him will now have a very hard task.
For me, they should have set up a much bigger exclusion zone and kept the area sterile till they could get some well trained officers into the area and started fresh from his last known positon at the camp site... now not possible.
As it happens, IMHO, he is either in a LUP - which if its any good they will never find him. Or he is out of the area.

Apart from being a murederous psycho, credit to him evading the Police this long, he looks alike a cross between Big vern out of Viz and a far proportion of Scoob drivers.

As I said, Durham Gaol warned the police force of the danger he presented to his ex girlfriend. They had information from a cell mate to the effect that he was out for revenge. Why did that force just ignore that warning? The eventual outcome with her seriously injured, her boyfriend shot dead, a policeman also very seriously injured, and now an expensive and difficult manhunt for a deranged man with a couple of shotguns and a large pile of ammunition indicates a dereliction of duty in the first place by the police force reponsible with that woman wriggling with meaningless excuses and promises.
Would it have been so difficult to monitor the situation, especially when the police are happy to charge the country £250K annually to protect that prat Billy Liar while he is trousering thousands making speeches to gullible Americans!

Her force was informed of the danger presented to the woman who was shot by the release of Moat having served 2 months of a 4 month sentence for causing bodily harm. They did nothing about her protection and she was making all the standard excuses which wont wash and later telling us all how the protection of the public was the main concern of her and her force! Her appearance on the TV was pretty transparent in that respect.
I am sure there will be all sorts of regulations why they did not protect that woman Felix, but that is not the point is it?

I'm with you on this, and if they have military advisors as well, then I'm willing to place another bet.
Regardless of which force finds him, it will be reported the military slotted him, thus saving the police going through an investigation.
Afterall the military even supporting civi authorities do have different operational cirteria. (more like, halt, or we fire. F off, bang).
