I even had a bot of a chat with "The Gaffer" at the time.

I have plenty more pictures from the day, and i will probably have logs/dumps of the fully working map that was on the "broken" ecu on my work laptop, it was a blatant price bumping scam, but lets keep things on track here, this thread was about scammers ripping off a trader, not a trader ripping off a punter

I ended up with 2 apexi`s at the time, and i needed one for my 2.5 conversion, a pro mapper from 22b.com kindly offered to test them both for me, and then send one back to me with a rough 2.5 basemap, the other i sold to him to use on a customers car, and gave half the cash to my mate, who had been told his apexi ecu was broken junk, and needed replaced with a different model

HTH

Hi,

sticky micky

your photo is from quite a while ago, certainly 2, maybe 3 years.

Having chatted to the lads in the workshop we do recall the faulty Apexi, we have seen two of them, one on a skyline and one on your mates car, if memory serves the ecu had a heat related fault where an injector driver failed when hot, your mate went for a different set up, and I repaired the ecu fitting a new injector driver, he did not want a repaired ecu in his car and sold it on.

Nice to see my free repair has held up.

Now back on topic, its about scammers who sell goods they have not got.

Cheers
Kev

Hi i dont know if i kept the emails about the ecu but,

I was given 2 choices when "the gaffer" told me my apexi ecu was fooked, he said i could put the standard ecu back in and run that ( Not an option as i had just had a forged 2ltr put in with a 20g turbo or go for an autronic ecu ( which i went for).

I asked for the apexi back too but it was not in the car when i got home so i asked stevebt to pick it up for me when he picked his car up about a month later ( Maybe you fixed the apexi as you thought you'd scored for it ?)

I also asked for the anti lag and launch control to be mapped in but was told it would kill my car, i have since had the car mapped by someone else with the antilag and the car has been fine for about a year now.

Steve, make sure everything you say is 100% fact, because if it is in any way slanderous, he is going to pass it on to his legal team, and they will spank us

Will show you the PM sometime

If what Micky is saying is true then this thread has turned in to an ironic circus.

Hi,

so much venom, what have we done wrong ??

We find a fault on your 2nd hand Apexi ecu, advise you of this, you opt for an Autronic ecu, we mend your Apexi free of charge return it to you via Steve, you sell it on and its fine, where is the crime ?

All of this years ago, from the photo I can tell its over 2 years maybe 3.

If you had a problem why not voice it then.

Then you come on here and hi jack a legitimate thread regarding a scam performed on Alan Jefferies to give us a kicking.

Thanks for that.

Now once again back on topic !

Cheers

No venom here, i'm just stating that you never gave me the option of having the ecu repaired and that you refused to turn the antilag on, i'm not bothered the car has been running perfectly since it was at scoobyclinic i'm grateful that you took the car in and sorted it as nothing was happening at the garage it was at previously.

Lets get all this into perspective

So the Apexi could not be repaired, and he had to buy a new ecu, but then you repaired it "free of charge" although it was not returned with his car when asked.

So after asking "where is my apexi ecu?" another customer returned it to him.

No mention of any repair to the ecu when it ended back up in Newcastle, the "free repair" (as you so put it) cost him a new ECU through yourselves, even though you allegedly repaired his old one

I think that has cleared everything up

I'm just getting more info at the moment, then we'll see where that leads.
If I were him, I'd give the money back pronto.
I'll keep you posted!
