I had my own special 'scooby wave' ready.
1. Hand resting lightly on steering wheel
2. Spot scooby
3. Raise up hand in friendly wave
4. if ignored, bring hand down
5. Pretend you were drumming or tapping to the music
6. Mutter "bellend " or " miserable git "
Second version
1. Spot scooby
2. bring up hand for the wave
3. Get ignored or looked at strangely
4. Swivel hand around and drop a few fingers whilst making a raspberry sound
5. Mutter "******"

must admit thou, i get less and less classic waving back these days
i drive a 99 classic and ALWAYS get waved at by other classics but NEVER by a bugeye or hawkeye i always think that they think we "classic drivers" are not worthy of their wave because they have a "better car" lol i chose the classic over the bugeye coz i think they look harder like they gonna rip your head off while the bugeye, alough fast just looks a bit soft to me a classic is like meeting mike tyson in a dark alley way, and a bugeye is like meeting norris from corrie in a dark alley way this is just my opinion of course lol and here is my wave for all the bugeyes ive waved at over time and completely ignored me

Can't remember last time I got a wave....
I always do it incase it's somebody from AberdeenScoobies and my eyesight doesn't allow me to see who it is til the last minute...lol.
Have to admit though- never really had a wave from a newage I didnt know
Perhaps the classics are just looked upon as being filled with Chav or maybe there are a lot of non-enthusiasts getting into them as the prices fall.
Even in the 22B I clocked a Hatch STI at a junction (both sitting) and gave him a wave and a nod........boy just looked down his nose and looked away.....tw@t...
