Thanks for clarifying the issue Kev, it is then the case that instead of Total Impreza making their usual typos/errors they just omitted an important piece of information.
Perhaps there is a job waiting there for Mr Lewis after all.

Hi,
just to clarify, we did the test for our own research, Total Impreza have used it for a small feature but it seems they have made a mistake.
They have failed to mention that the standard pump we tested was from an 09 STI hatchback.
We had carried out a 550 BHP engine/Turbo conversion and needed to see what sort of flow the standard 09 pump was capable of, whilst the test rig was out we ran the walbro 255 and its bigger brother, followed by the Tomie and finally the Bosch pump, we were surprised to see the standard MY09 pump flow better than the 255.
We did not test the standard early pump as it was not neccessay, we know they dont flow as well as the 255 from what happens on the dyno, hence their replacement on the PPP and all our power packs.
The Total Impreza article is correct in all the details re pumps and flow, the only mistake is their failure to mention the standard pump we were interested in was the 09 STI HATCHBACK.
Hope this helps clear up the topic.
cheers

Thanks for clearing that up. Those pumps are much superior to say blob / hawk pumps
