Looks like I touched the nerve there!
I think you would do well to "wake up" yourself. I find it strange that someone can get so wound up over a bit of **** taking (I am not good with numbers), all the people I knew in the Service were used to it and found it a bit of a laugh and could also give as good as they got. Whingeing the way you are doing is pretty pathetic really. It is so much easier just to join in fact. Admittedly he does have a sharp turn of wit so you might have to work at it a bit to keep up.

No, FYI you haven't touched a nerve, and nor does Pete wind me up, i've got more improtant things in my life so try to keep thins in perspective - as such, he's more of an irritation. I've made my feelings about Pete's 'contribution' to the board known before (I happen to agree wholly with what DevilDog wrote - he was once quite funny but since his ban has "regressed emotionally and intellectually") and on that occassion you jumped onto his lap for another stroke. You often point out that Pete is witty with great comebacks and more than able to fight his own battles, so why do you feel the need to do it on his behalf. Seems more like my post touched a nerve with you??
ETA - I'm not going to add anymore to this thread and instead heed my own advice (from my first post) and leave you all to your Apple hating / Pete loving. I said what I wanted about the subject in my first post.

Exactly right and something certain other people on this thread could do to get a grip of.
As for Pete, welll he is what he is... funny to some, a mild diversion to others and annoying to a few.
As I said the ignore button can sort that out for anyone who feels strongly enough... although why anyone could get so upset with a 'personality' on an Internet forum that they feel the need to use the ignore function is beyond me. As you said.. it ain't real life!!

I find it difficult to believe that you were not affected by PSL's posts when I read your own post since you were beginning to sound a bit manic if anything.
I posted because I did not agree with what you said. Nothing to do with PSL's defence since quite rightly as you say he can do that pretty well himself. When it comes to his posts, I have spent more time defending myself against them in earlier times. I quite enjoyed it in fact, it was all just a bit of gentle "joshing". He has never been vicious in my memory anyway, which is more than a good few can say. I have been reading his posts for quite a long time now.
I would be interested to know where I said I was an "Apple hater" Looks to me that you have jumped to a conclusion with no reason. You must have missed my post where I in fact congratulated Apple on past achievements. The one point I made was that the aerial design was in error and that can't be denied! Always dangerous to make an assumption.
Jolly good luck to you anyway, try to develop a thicker skin and you will get far more fun out of the forum! A bit of harmless backchat is far more entertaining than trying to stand on your dignity for no real reason! I find I am much happier on here if I find an excuse for a laugh!
