The above is FREE..that is for the articles.
As to prices....well if you dont kno already, I NEVER EVER discuss prices on the bbs. It's unprofessional and unethical. If you need to know prices all you have to do is to email me or ask other people who have used my services. It all depends on what you want.
I await a call or email from you. My number is 07966 713177 7 days a week from 0900 thru 1900.

Its NEVER unethical to put a price list up - what would be unethical is charging different prices to suit the market conditions
Does the engine bay get a 'wash-down'? with a jet washer? I ask because I am very wary of blasting my bay - it will make it look all shiny but will it ever start again??
I fear that I cannot afford your services
Has anyone tried, now this IS serious, that Motorbike Fairing spray wax polish from the Pound Shop??? it REALLY is the poodles dangly bits. I am deadly serious by the way!! £1 a can too - everyones a winner!! they do a VERY good alloy wheel cleaner and also and Engine Degreaser too!! all £1 - come on down!! Group buy?
I can now get MER for £5:99 - for 1 litre, is this stuff any good?? I dont think you need to spend that much to get a shiny car but has anyone ever tried MER?? someone once said in the 70's that it was watered down Brasso!!!???

I always use a pressure washer (mind you its altered/reduced to 500psi).
If done correctly there never will be a problem if a few simple rules are followed.
Market conditions...yes these do vary. Considering Io have to travel there and back in a day then the price is a lot higher especially if I have to do everything.
If I have a number of cars to do (exterior and engine bay) the price is alot lower (group buy effect). This weekend just gone I did 5 cars all in one location and did them conveyor belt style. Just one return journey for me to do the lot and therefore more cost effective and time efficient.
If you want a starter kit as well say and outside and engine job done then too I will haggle. Do one car and its always higher. Do five then you get a bargain price and I ignore the fuel and driving time. Simple economies really.
Email me as to exactly what you want done and where and I will quote you for coming directly to YOU.

warm engine to normal temp either by idling or taking for a spin. Then switch off and open bonnet.
Spray engine cleaner over everything bar two items (intercooler and alarm). Allow to stand (soak in) for a few minutes. make sure you have also sprayed the underside of the bonnet.
With the engine still OFF, begin your power washing but keep the lance at least 12" clear of anything. Avoid at all costs aiming the lance at the fins of the intercooler (they will bend like buggery). You can always make a cardboard cut out to fit over the intercooler. Alos make sure that the alarm hooter is pointing downwards or is stuffed with an old cloth. If it fills with water you'll short the electrical circuit in the alarm hooter (it will sound off when the ignition is on...I know it happened to me a few years back.
Aim the lance into all nooks and cranies of the engine bay. When done check to see if all is clean. If not repeat the proceedure.
When done take and old towel (make sure engine is still OFF) and mop up excess water from areas ontop of the battery, air filter housing and trunking leading to inlet manifold etc and also from slam panel and the underside of the bonnet.
Now start your engine and allow to idle (do not rev it up) until normal temp is reached at the cooling fan has cut in at least twice. Then swithc off again.
Now spray protector over the engine, ancillaries and underside of bonnet and then close bonnet and allow engine heat to dry the protector off. Whilst this is happening you can get on with something else. (If not wait for aound 45 mins) and then open bonnet again. Using the damp towel that you used to mop up water wipe over the underside of the bonnet to remove runs and do the same to air filter housing, slam panel, radiator top and radiator cowling, battery etc etc.
Stand back and admire :-) :-)
Cost of Multiclean and protector £12 all inc postage.
Happy?

Another satisfied customer here.. Got a starter kit and the engine cleaner kit.. (arrived yesterday thanks Mark).. Couldn't describe this product as 'cheap' but I'm well chuffed with the results.. I found the first time I cleaned and waxed hard work... inexperience and too much product applied... Did it again last weekend.. the dirt absolutley flew off the car and the finish is, if anything, better than the first time... Can't wait to do the engine bay....
I'm not associated etc etc.. just a happy bunny

Cheers,
Wrexy.

The answer is to use a clay bar. As Russell says about 10 secs and all vanished. Also you can clean the windscreen with it as well to removed the invisible debris etc.
Once your car is waxed just wash weekly and then at the same time wax the frontal impact areas...numberplate, headlamps, driving lamps, front bumper, leading edge of bonnet and air scoop, and wing mirror pods. This will ensure ample proytection and bug splatter will just slide off when washing or even a good rain shower will do it for you. If you are travelling and want to arrive with a clean car, just mist some water over the effected areas and wipe with a dry towel and turn towel over to buff...result...no bug spaltter and just a gloss clean car.
ALPINE
I see that you have now mastered the art of waxing. Just follow the above and you'll see the effect.
The motto..the more you wax, the greater the gloss and protection afforded and the net result is that cleaning will be heck of a lot easier. Dont forget to wax the alloys as well on a regular basis and you'll find brake dust just slides off and you will not need a wheeel cleaner

Tip I got off here a while back for removing flies is get an old sheet, place over front of car and wet thouroughly. Come back 5-10 mins later and simply wash off the flies with a sponge and soapy water. Works a treat.

Seeing some of the results from Mark's handywork and products, i wouldn't mind getting my Scooby detailed by him.
The problem is that i'm in Belgium, and travel costs therefore would be in the 'ouch' range...
Unless Mark would be coming over to the Nürburgring with some people (see 'May Trip of Attendees' in International Events), as the itinerary from arrival in France (Calais) to the Ring (Germany) comes by my place ;-)
Can Mark mail me some pricing?
Thanks
Simon
