I understand the numbers... I fail to recognise what they have to do with anything here ![Ponder2](images/smilies/ponder2.gif)
3 x 4 = 12.
2 x 7 = 14.
Just to clarify; 4mm is less than 7mm. Also 12 is less than 14 - however this irrelevant as the tyres in question only had 4mm and 7mm on.
I trust you can understand this now that it is written out for you![Whatever Anim](images/smilies/Whatever_anim.gif)

With £200 I could have got 2 lots of tyres, both 4mm each. Therefore giving me 8mm in the end.
Where as the other bloke got 7mm for his £200.
Plus I got 3 tyres and he only got 2.

FWIW anyway, i got my mate to fit them for me, he is a manager at one of the nations big tyre outfits and he said to me.
"You paid HOW MUCH??" "**** that man i can get you them for free!"![Lol1](images/smilies/lol1.gif)
Just waiting for a nice matching set to turn up for the rear

WOW this has been blown out of proportion. It's each ot their own and i have used part worns before and would do also as long as there spot on. I also have a good relationship with my tyres garage and they wouldn't give em sh#t tyres.
As i said each to their own!!!!!!!!
This thread should RIP now

I needed some new tires and I wanted to stick with my 225/40 18 Bridgestone Potenzas.
I needed 3 in total.
Anways, after thinking I would have to pay around £350 for them. I got them for £100 including fitting from The Tread Shop in Chichester.
They were part worn and had 4mm of tread left.
From new they only have 8mm.
A bit of a bargain me thinks. And I bet a few other members on here will benefit from the info as well.![Luxhello](images/smilies/luxhello.gif)
