Yes we have a scammer here. I am the other buyer unfortunately.
He was paid for the engine Sat 16th July and promised me that he would have the engine delivered in 3 days.I phoned him after the 3rd day and he told me it had just been collected and was on its way that I would have it now by Friday latest.
I waited about Friday and Saturday for delivery but it wasnt to be.
I phoned his mobile number which was now turned off and his house number but no answer.
By now I could smell a rat.I persisted with the house number to I got a result last Monday eveningat 1730. A woman answered the phone and informed me that she was only the house keeper and Christanio was away on holiday and wouldnt be home to Wednesday night.
I then rang Steve Porter Transport who hadnt even heard of him/me or the engine.I asked the nice lady to please recheck and search for my postcode etc on her system but it turned up nothing ,it was never sent through them.
I sent a txt message to his phone requesting a refund immediately in hope of some sort of response. This worked and the guy replied rather rudely that his mother had died and he was away and would send the engine whenever it suited him.
I told him I would be ringing the police and he replied if you do that I will just send paypal a false tracking number and you wont recieve the engine or your money back.

No I havent recieved my £500 back or engne and when I spoke to the transport company 3 times ,the latest being this morning they still couldnt help me even with the tracker number that doesnt exist

I still dont buy this story ,how could you miss a payment on your paypal account for £500,they even notify you by email of every transaction

How could you forget that you actually sold the engine to a guy 3 days before

He was also selling some mr2 rear lights on eBay and the pic has the car number plate on show (Y868 HNN) might be his car or maybe his girlfriends etc

But I've has the same kinda thing happen to me in the past and when it went to court it's better to have as much info as poss, as if he says he can't pay and the car is his the can take it and sell it to receive payment etc

Time and time again you hear of stories like this and time and time again people fall for the "the big bargain" and end up loosing out to these scammers who in my eyes are the scumm of the earth.

I hope that all are reading this and take note ,but know doubt it will happen again and again, when i personaly do a deal on here and then ring and speak to them asking a few awkward questions and find out from their response what type of person i'm dealing with ,then its up to me wether i go ahead with the deal or not, im not really wrong in my jugement but if it did go **** up then i have only myself to blame, dont let these so called "clever scammers" pull the wool over your eyes if a deal is to good to be true or you have any doubt at all then walk away and look elsewhere, nothing is so important that you have to lose your hard earned money to these pieces of **** so called honest traders i hope they get run over by a bus but we all know nothing bad seems to come to these people only the honest and trustworthy suffer... rant over !

rgt just spoke to them again they are going to ring paypal tomoz and confirm what payments have been made to there account as she states she recieved my £400 but no £500 then she will get a print of her paypal account and we can all see who has paid and any probs that may of accured and then the engine can go to who ever paid for it she seems genuine as she didnt have to speak to me for 20mins and then ring me back so im hoping the outcome will be fair on everyone once we have all contacted paypal and heard who has paid what as paypal wont lie

yes mate i think the same now only fair way to sort this is for the seller email both me and the other buyer a copy of his paypal statement so we can see whos paid and then hopefully we will get the right outcome cz at the moment all there saying is that they didnt recieve the other buyers payment but have accidently sent it to him instead of me and like i say i no this to be true as ive checked with the transport company
