if you have paid the seller 400 quid through paypal, then this is recorded in paypal and if payment is complete and the seller says they havent recieved payment then they are trying to pull the wool over your eyes.if this is the case then your best bet is to contact paypal and explain and you will get refunded, this part will have noubt to do with the seller as paypal will have records of exactly what is going on.

the seller had told me they recieved my payment of £400 but not the other guys payment but accidently sent the engine to him instead of me so were just trying to find out what happend to the other guys payment either way i have no money and no engine so im the 1 loosing out and it boils down to the seller sending it 2 the wrong person which isnt my fault so i should recieve a refund then they should then sort there issue with the other buyer

I'm afraid to say it sounds like you are being strung along and you should never have paid by paypal as a gift Good luck but it sounds like you've been shafted by another newbie

I Thought if you paid by credit card, that the bank would help.

Keep your chin up fella, this will sort itself out I'm sure.

Defo speak to bank as I think your payment is insured against rogue sellers.

Cant remember the details but they always go on about using a credit card for internet transactions as its got some sort of protection on it.

just to make it clear,as its all a bit muddled

you paid £400 for an engine from guy A
yellowevo paid £500 for an engine guy A

Guy A received your £400 but not yellowevo`s £500 yet the engine has gone to yellowevo ?

If so,very bizzare but not entirely unfeasable, yellowevo might of given Guy A his address etc and Guy A is a tool and got confused

so,if yellowevo has the engine now,yet his £500 bounced/returned to his account for some weird reason,he`s £100 up so just has to give YOU £400 ?

hope thats it,confusing LOL

Having spoken to Yellowevo he confirmed that his payment went through as stated. In the hands of Paypal as he also paid by card, although not by gift I believe.
