I think it's been about 5 years now since we talked of a SN golf day!

My club is awesome, not the best course in the world but the members are great and always have a good laugh in the bar afterwards! I played fookin awful last night and just couldn't feel a golf swing, managed to grind it out in four over par though

I often like to give that latter "old skool snooty nosed" golfers a good whooping when I play at my club, that seems to put them firmly in their place!!! Especially as I do it while strictly adhering to the rules & etiquettes of the game. You'l always get them, some clubs are far worse than others but if you play the game properly with good decorum & know the rules, you have nothing to worry about.

the S word, i can almost hear a few golfers heartrate going up at the very mention of it

bad? yes. i suppose 1 in every 5 iron shots, not restricted to short irons either. i put a 5 iron into the bushes last time out. on a pitch and putt i'd be fooked.

swing is too flat and too fast, i'm getting it back but i've got into a bad habit so the correct swing just doesn't feel right. i've never lost so many golf *****

Bit hard too blame those tools fella
The bottom bit is very right though - maybe you should try reading books by Dr Bob Rotella, which contain no technical information whatsoever
"Putting out of your mind" is a pretty good and easy read.

Just had a quick knock about on a 6 hole par 3 course attached to where I live, and bugger me with a sand wedge if I didn't just get a hole in one - what a feeling fo self-congratulation. Typically, no one there to witness the miracle. It was just after watching the above link too. Cheers salsa-king.

I should really give golf a go, there are a stupid number of clubs in our town, two of them being very close indeed. Tempted to try Glenn abbey as it is whre the national is aparently played, but I suspect it will be **** central, Kensington fords all over the car park

I have played one full round before and it wasn't too bad. Took quite a while, but we let those behind us play through so as not to hold them up too much. 19th hole was by far the best though

I too would have serious issues with snobs thinking they are better than myself because they have money. Methinks a lesson about class might educate them that the trully wealthty tend not to be so vulgar and might even wish to aid a player who is just starting out
