So whats to stop another RA - there are many with more money than him- buying MUFC as one of the two or three biggest club football brands in the world (Real and Barcelona being the others) - with the longest history of any team playing in the premier league?
" The difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys" - the arabs daft enough to back Citeh make him look comparatively poor and there's more of those out there who might fancy trumping all the other wannabees. You are aware that RA only got into footy after watching MU play and then had to settle for a shed in Fulham when he failed the "No dodgy Russian mafia needed here" test at Old Trafford...
The orginal RA will keep you and himself afloat only so long as he keeps Putin sweet and no one else he has "done business" with while he was scrambling over in Siberia doesn't slip him a radioactive Early Grey because if that happens - your ground will be a wine bar full of braying sloanes before you can blink.

Pinched from nowehere matey (unlike RA's nicked Siberian riches...)- just typed it as a genuine thought.
Without a decent history a brand's value is diminished (cf Blackburn) and even Loserpool benefited from that by attracting a foreign investor, despite their current dire situation.
Doesn't mean that's all you can rely on (cf loserpool ) as results (MUFC won 3 of the last 4 PL, losing the last one by only one point to Chelski and, despite playing badly this year, are still on your tail), youth policy, facilities, etc, etc are also crucial.
Funny that your first thought is plagiarism - not the strongest counterpoint I've heard you come out with .

So a team has to have a great history to attract a foreign investor, so that'll be why we got one of the richest, got ya! Even the player you've invested 250k a week in is sick of carrying the team, a la Stevie G

Giggs, Scholes, Van Der Sar all your best players, and don't forget you managed to sign up Neville for a few more seasons

Our best players, perhaps, but the youngsters we've got coming through are more than adequate. How are yours progressing?

I said that the lack of a significant history diminishes the brand value, not that it was the sole reason for attracting investors. As a result, the dodgy Siberian could pick Chelski up for very little, given the state that its previous owners had left the place in, which would have been something of a consolation for him after missing out on his real dream of buying a big club
Rooney carrying the team -hardly - others have pointed out how we're not really missing goals from him.By signing him up again all we've done is guarantee he can't leave for ferk all.

Playing average at best, unable to finish teams off, players out of form, yet strangely joint top and unbeaten Gods knows how
I just hope we kick into gear after Christmas like we normally do
It seems it's going to be a strange season again.
Aaron
Hope Choccy had a good day today and got parked ok.

As for the match it seemed to start off slow but we dominated throughout. It was brilliant when they had 2 men sent off within 5 minutes
What was also good was that goal just on half time. Looking from the other end it was a peach of a header, shame a couple of idiots were shouting monkey chants at Evra Aside from that generally a very good atmosphere.
Insisted on going to the megastore after full time and bought some baby stuff. No fooling way her dad is having my son as a scouser so he's got a rattle and babygrows/t-shirts Utd now!!
Getting out of Manchester from the MEN was easy as but parking was £9 due to events on.
Great day and will repeat as often as poss...
