i wouldnt worry about subaru's having a bad name for speeding or being chavs
i would worry about them reading some of these threads and a few of you being **** and sitting at home with your subaru jackets, caps and a mug of coco at the window reading subaru number plates as they go past.

Just to add about the van (remember that) it isn't all about the power, it's the power to weight.
Also a 15 sec 1/4 mile isn't really that quick, more slow Impreza than silly quick van.
The only time my WRX went on the 1/4 mile (a long time ago) it did a 14.2, and that was at 250bhp(ish)

I find it very sad that I put a post on here and it turns in to a slagging match, for crying out loud lads this was done on a drag strip not a public road, so knock it on the head why don't you!!!!!!!!

My son built the van and it is running at the mo about 220bhp, but is going to be remapped, after that it will be running around 270-280 bhp!!!!!!

back to the point that was a great run by your son in the van and a crap one by the scoob. 280 brake sounds great fun in the van, my brother used to have the 1.7 turbo diesel astra van and that was no slouch, surprised alot of other vehicles.

Craigs Astra van was the best 300 bhp plus, and the very first time he took me out in it we went into a roundabout sideways, christ knows how we came out the other side
Luckily we were on an 60mph road!!!!!!!!
