think you will find my car is quite capable of 170+ thank you very much. It's already doing 135mph at the 1/4 mile

I know what the OP means, I find it very hard owning a 330bhp car and not taking it on the track, its what its all about IMO. In over 2 years of owning a scooby I've had 2 speeding tickets but both were in my other halfs seat leon, not the scoob! Like Dunx said with power comes responsibility and I find it easier driving slower in a more powerful car knowing I have the power there rather than trying to prove that I am fast in a 1.4 escort or whatever! I dont understand how you could own a 500/600 bhp scoob and not venture onto the track, but thats just me. It's too dangerous driving fast on the road for yourself, and others safety. If you do 170mph on the road you're going to lose your licence for sure!

So for me, track all the way

I think you would be looking at a trip to jail for 100mph over the speed limit

130 in a 30 zone - Absobloodylootly (I hope)

170 on a motorway - I expect so unless you've a very good solicitor (or are a traffic officer 'testing' your cars capabilities )
