mine used to do the same at any speed more notacible going uphill gently also say at 60 and floor it, its a weird feeling
turned out to be the boost solenoid. mines a W reg I also tried to have it cleaned at prosport but it didnt help only replacing it solved the problem.

UPDATE, so I've been to pole position today and I have to say how happy I was with the service, honesty and how friendly they were. Trouble is they took it out for a spin and said it the has the start of a crank knock, they followed on to show me and I heard it with my own ears, although they said this was not the cause of the pulsing boost. As I've said before I found a manual boost controller on the glove just after I bought it and it had been suggested on here that someone may have put the brass ball thing in the wrong place in the wrong pipe. The garage confirmed this was the case and found that the ball wasn't even right as it was a welding tip, however they proceeded to move it to the correct pipe and provided a new pipe for free. Now the car is much smoother but seems to have lost a lot of power and the boost seems very low. Do u think I should reset my ecu? Oh and they've quoted me £1800 for a rebuild but insisted I get a second opinion on the knock as they are trying to be as honest as possible and are trying to build a good reputation as they've only been open two years. Any thoughts??
Thanks
Thanks
