Listen GP,

1. The Astra looks completely ridiculous, a pimp mobile if i ever saw one.
2. IF A CAR IS NOT DELIVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER WITH A SCOOP FITTED THEN THERE IS NO NEED FOR ONE TO BE THERE - NOT TOO DIFFICULT A CONCEPT.
3. Even if a scoop was bought legitimately and fitted to a car it still entices the 'ned' factor (Kappa tracksuit and all) to think "oh that looks cool, I haven't got a spare £160 as I have a crap job because I've been a lazy thick git all my life so I'll just go and nick one off a real Subaru, after all if he can afford a car like that then he can afford to replace it" - wrong *******.
4.Believe you me mate, if you were parked next to me you'd get no respect, just pity.
5.As for your point on the EVO, don't be ridiculous, a scoop on an EVO would look as stupid as it does on any other car, except for the Impreza. The EVO is a cool enough car without needing a scoop on it, besides it has no practical use for one as the cooling system is built in to the front of the car - duh.
6. So 'f'ing what if your car loses 10bhp without a scoop, get a life.

hmmm - I could respond with a concise list of points that would blow most of that diatribe of yours right out the water - but as you've so obviously not even attempted to read or understand what I've said so far I'll not bother, as you just seem a closed minded individual with an excess bile problem - and you have the nerve to tell me to get a life

now there I agree! - the runaround is a Vectra and it is indeed more pants than an asthmatic greyhound - nobody nicks bit off it though!

Unfortunatly, I disagree. 1 of the salesmen came back in today with a door handle, wheel, rear spoiler and rear exhaust missing. He had been up in derbyshire for the day previously. I larfed my **** off!
This isn't the first time that this has happened to one of our cars either..
No accounting for taste, eh.....
Doesn't matter, company car and the boss is a t*sser anyway

"I don't believe it". Just caught some tit in a red Beemer checking my car out 10 minutes ago. Went out and asked if I could help him and he said he was admiring the spoiler on my car as he fancied one for his BM.

I still can't believe this just happened, not going to sleep a wink now. ****ers the lot of them, why can't they just leave things alone, I'm starting to think its not worth the hassle with all these wannabees everywhere.

GP - we'll have to agree to disagree I'm afraid, nothing personal, I just have no time for people that add things to their cars that are not needed as it has a knock on effect, like it or not.

McCrash, shut it! How can you say scooby scoops look crap on any thing other than a scooby, that's ridiculous and narrow minded!

GP personally I don't like Vauxhauls full stop but equally the scoop doesn't look out of place on your car. From the picture it looks like it fitted and painted properly, I do think the ones that are just glued on without a hole in the bonnet look **** though.

I suppose you should all have a go at me now though! I've got a Fiesta si with a cossie front spoiler on and it's not fitted properly, yet!

At the end of the day we all do these things to our cars because we want to, not because of what other people might think, if you want to put a non genuine item on then go for it, when was the last time you heard, your scoob didn't come with massive 4pots therefore you don't need them

I'd take you on, purely to see if you stood up to stereotype or not!

Granted you are not all scum but i doubt anyone would have the ***** to knock on my fcukin' window!

Mikey, jumping in at the end of a thread is not conducive to really understanding it very well - read from the top and you'd see why I'd be a-tapping at yer window in the first place - judging by your attitude I reckon you'd be exactly the sort of chap to go herming off after anyone who flicked an idiotic signal at you, probably to discuss the finer points of the physics of bone v large tool you just had 'lying around' in your footwell, with an emphasis on the practical side of the theory.

McTw@t,

Theft of parts from other cars is a problem right across the 'ned' scene. Constraining your argument to Subaru parts seems a little fickle. Are we not to add aftermarket alloy wheels for fear of being branded theives who can't afford a decent car in the first place?

I'll remind you not to bother with the 4-pot conversion, or even any sort of audio upgrade. I could go on.

You are also not a fan of retro fitting scoop but you'll happily entertain an engine swap? The manufacturers don't really have a hand in the engine *needing* more cooling so it doesn't seem logical to me that they should be anything to do with dealing with it.

You can gladly pity me next time we're aside in a car park. It will be met with an accusation of ignorance.
