Many years ago I stayed in Lossiemouth for a week - working as an insurance assessor (you'll have noticed the Lossie floods quite a bit!). Nice part of the world, liked the granite buildings.

Pity it was all at short notice, you could have parked here and saved some hassle. Next year then!

Did you enjoy the constant noise of the jets buzzing round? It still never ceases to make me grin as I come out of the hairdressers/doctors/bakers/candlestickmakers and see a Tornado crossing the street at low level

Yeah I heard about the Lossie flooding but have never seen it as I've only been here for a couple of months and it's been pretty dry. Anyway, I'm OK as I'm next to the West Beach on the other side of town

Let's hope not. You could simply say that the RAF is part of the Strategic Defence Review.

Going to try a proper 100km ride on the bike up to the High Peak trail. I haven't done more than 60km in one go this year so I may be expecting a bit much.
Big pasta meal the day before should help, and I'd like to go out on Saturday for the ride so I can recover with large amounts of beer on the Saturday / Sunday night

I'm now officially dead. This typing is just the final spasms...
Next time I think of doing this kind of idiocy I really ought to check the damn' weather report and not go when it's blowing Storm force winds.

Will definitley do my planned 65 mile trip through the local undulating Scottish countryside (it's pretty windswept anyway, so if it's blowy in the city you can guarantee a whirlwind along the lang whang! )
