There is a lot of talk about induction kits and MAF's, my own experiences with an MY99 which has a sensitive MAF and an induction kit is no problems whatsoever in 40K miles.
It depends a lot on the induction kit and how it is fitted. MAFs do not like vibration or oil too much.
Get a good quality kit a K&N or pipercross or such, there are more expensive ind kits that are not so good - filtration and quality of the kit itself, wise - it pays to research. the mounting kit itself needs to be well made and not transfer too much vibration (if any) through to the MAF.
There was a test done some years back which was an eye opener with some of the well known Jap performance parts companies' scoring badly.
