As I mentioned the Newage MAF sensors are robust enough to cope with an induction kit

+1 .... go easy on her until you have had the car remapped

You will notice the difference once it has had the treatment from Duncan I'm sure!

The induction kit isnt on at the moment but will be for mapping on friday

There is a lot of talk about induction kits and MAF's, my own experiences with an MY99 which has a sensitive MAF and an induction kit is no problems whatsoever in 40K miles.

It depends a lot on the induction kit and how it is fitted. MAFs do not like vibration or oil too much.

Get a good quality kit a K&N or pipercross or such, there are more expensive ind kits that are not so good - filtration and quality of the kit itself, wise - it pays to research. the mounting kit itself needs to be well made and not transfer too much vibration (if any) through to the MAF.

There was a test done some years back which was an eye opener with some of the well known Jap performance parts companies' scoring badly.
