Pet insurance has done us proud the last few years, we have definately spent more than we have put in (addisons and pancreatis, plus a few extra's like cardiogram for the dog etc), so all her meds are paid for (we just claim them back), and she is having a good lifestyle considering all her little issues

You have mentioned a few times, 3rd Party Insurance.
I will let you into a secret ..... if you have no Insurance then no 'No Win, No Fee' outfit will take up a case against you. No point at all in doing it.
Insurance leaves you open to litigation .....

You misunderstand .... the Dentists advice depended entirely upon what profit will be made from each option .... in other words, Clinical need was not the driving force for the advice!

Think maybe, you need a little holiday. I've just checked, and i see they are doing half price rooms in the 'Real World', you really should take advantage of this limited offer. On the downside, you do have to sort your own travel insureance

I have let it go a few times ..... but you spell INSURANCE like this .... not how you spell it!

However it strikes me as being possible that the second time you went, he priced himself out of the job because he just couldn't be bothered with seeing you.
He probably would have been gutted if you accepted the private quote.
You appear to be a very clever chap and no doubt this possibility has already occurred to you.

I always use to wonder how people got such high post counts, but now realise, when all you do is chat 80110X all day it must be easily achieved.

He is the sort of bloke who wants everything while not paying for it, he has values from a golden by-gone age that have no relevance in todays retail market, he wants the cheapest prices for the most expensive items and expects to be treated like royalty everywhere his insignificant purchses take him, i have a word for poeple like that in my game: ******!
The people with proper money dont quibble over details!

As i suggested earlier, i'm in total agreement with Spoons post.
As i have stated in another thread, i think every dog should be insured, chipped and heavily licensed too.
I hope your 'pet fund' covers you for loss/damage to property, or god forbid, a life. If the worst does ever happen, which lets face it, it easily could (see Lees post below), you would be up to your neck in it
How clever, wise and intelligent would you then be feeling?? 
As for the vet charging less for the uninsured. Why would that both me?? I'm insured
You will never win, win, win, win the argument that it is better, wiser or a more intelligent decision NOT to have insurance on something which is at best, unpredictable!

Turns out, my dog was going for the dog, not the bloke. The bloke tried to stop the fight. Police friend said not a good move to get in the middle of an impending dog fight, much as he wanted to look after his pet.
The Police have shown no interest, infact Jet was getting his usual fuss off the Police Dog Squad the other day, who we usually see on walks.
I have insurance for Jet which does include legal fees, incase the bloke wants to take it further.
We have heard absolutely nothing, so we shall see.
We got a humane muzzle for Jet for his walks and he has accepted it fine. Looks a bit of a goon though

And when you say, 'proper money' ... is that as opposed to Monopoly money? Or do you mean 'Lots of money'?
If so, I can only assume that the nearest you have come to serious money is when the Securicor Van passes you in the street ............. as the tightest people are those with loads of money!
They don't waste a penny see? And Pet Insurance is for mugs ... as I said
