For console gaming I dont think you can beat Forza Motorsport 3 for a true simulator.

On the PC, it has to be TOCA Race Driver 3.

Will be interesting to see what the Dynamics of GT5 are like as most of the GT series have been lacking.

By far the best rally game to date is CMR Dirt 2 on PC, excellent sim.

Agreed with the forza series for a more accurate simulation on console. ... though I haven't yet progressed to forza 3 from forza 2 yet... massive game... Good car dynamics and the feeling of a proper simulation...

And the scoob gets a good showing in forza

It will be interesting to see how GT5 stacks up against the forza series with the length of development its had

I was with you all the way till you said TOCA & CMR Dirt 2, Richard Burns Rally is the daddy of all rally sims and if you want proper touring car action, try RACE The WTCC Game by Simbin.

The above IMHO of course

Default Grid - Prestige pack

I was ready to buy WRC, it can wait a few weeks now

Just found out there was a download for Grid back in March and it had 10 new cars as well as the Bathurst circuit. I dont think any PS game other than Tocs Race Driver 2 on the PS1 has Bathurst, my favourite track by an absolute distance

Cars include

Bugatti Veyron
Ferrari F430
Ferrari F550
Mer Macca SLR
Lambo Gallardo GT & LP560-4
Lotus 2-Eleven
Jag XKR GT3

Totally missed this until now, cant wait to get home and d/l

Forza Motorsport never been proper sim and never be...,that's is for sure and about TOCA this game is horrible(dynamics etc.,that's not really true),proper PC sim is just these LFS and rFactor,GTR and about sim racing is here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sim_racing
GT5 have been first console game with proper dynamics(which include damage wheels, simulation of weather, just use google or whatever properly),and probably you are never before play old GT series(GT3 have some great features which has been endurance race Monte Carlo 78 laps and tyre wear and tyre damage etc,no online but in these times has been just domain of PC,no consoles).
Dirt2 never been proper rally sim etc.,this game is just Americanism of good name, proper rally sim is old one Richard Burns Rally.

Sorry have to disagree on the PC comments. TRD3 is crap.

The best sims are GTR/GTR2/EVO by Simbin. Followed closely by LFS imo.

And Richard Burns Rally is the definitive PC rally game.
