I quite like it actually, i dont see what the problem is...its a 4 door saloon like the old Impreza but a modern interpretation of it even if its not called an Impreza anymore.
The old Impreza is hardly the pinnacle of automotive design in the looks department, its underneath what counts in the Subaru world in my eyes.

I suppose they might be aiming at the 3 series repmobile/exec market with this "non" impreza, but I can't see them making much headway - in the same way that the hatch hasn't really taken on the Golfs and Ford Focus. And mpg................

Not a fan of the lip spoiler never have been, rather have the usual spoiler seen on the video posted of the one going round the ring, much more like a suburu "Impreza" should be, not a hatch variant

at 33K its a bit pricey for the repmobile market - and i'd not let any rep of mine have 300bhp anyhow !!

32k is a lot, but the exchange rate is mainly to blame. It changed 15% or so, compared to last Sept, which would mean 27-28k last year. Still enough to change the pistons, hopefully.

At least they'll be a lot more exclusive now, along with the 1st year £950 spite road tax.

On most of Subaru Japan's literatue, why?

Personally neither this nor the **** poor hatchback should be called Imprezas thereby peserving the marque for proper cars deserving of the name, but there you go.
