Always best to look in the mirror before you ask such a thing. What have you achieved?

As already stated he is worth £830m, he is a Lord, he has one of the most popular programs on UK TV. Yeah what am I thinking hes done f*ck all and just landed on his feet. Same as those pesky dragons.

I don't want to sound like a fanboy but he also raises a hell of a lot of money for Great Ormond Street.

Maybe to show us just how successful in life you have been.

I know money does not necessarily mean success so can you tell us what you have achieved in life so far. **** all I suspect.

I wasn't slating him. You can't take his success away from him, I just don't like him. Nothing I can do about that

I don't claim to know him, but as I said I've had a few interactions with him and his family and he is not the obnoxious old goat that you may imagine.

It's just the way he comes across. It could just be for good viewing, so I'll take your word for it

I can't think of a more impoverished way to evaluate a life than either money or other outward 'achievement'.

Is this all we have left in the UK? The only 'value' uneroded by Capitalism and modernity? Money?

'Lord' Alan is welcome to his money, I just find him a person of very little interest or deserving of my 'adulation'.

As I clearly stated money does not necessarily mean success.

So tell me then what have you achieved in life so far.

He gives the impression of being a scuzzy unwashed fellow who is highly self important and loves having that bit of power and using it.
