So why not leave applications open to SIDC members only until say 2-3 weeks before the event. If then it is undersubscribed open things up to other car clubs. That way people from SIDC wont have right to moan as trhey would have had plenty of opportunity to apply.

Well for my two pennies worth, our 'japanese cousins' are more than welcome, it's great to have a mix of cars on the track. My little UK scoob may not be the fastest thing on the track, but I sure as hell enjoy it
As Stef pointed out - if the sidc can't fill the places there is no choice, besides, if your keen enough, you'll get booked in plenty of time to avoid disappointment.
Last point - drive it or watch it on the box - no competition, see you all on the 7th.

to keep the costs rock bottom other clubs have to be invited and i am afraid steff and co are going to get the arsrache sooner rather than later and say this isn"t worth the hassle we are going to let someone else do this and then our sidc trackdays will come to an end
