Saying that, maybe that is the equivalent of men doing the car in a new shirt, thinking it will be ok but feeling slightly uncomfortable and then going in and getting bollocked for thinking it was clean when its actually covered in Hammerite, Oil, grease and whatever else you can get rooting round under a car.
