if this does indeed go the way of trading standards and subsequently hmrc, doesnt the op leave himself open to some kind of prosecution for deliberately trying to avoid vat in the same way as ps?

this is a truly murky business and at the end of the day only ps and the op know the truth but i think ps have done major damage to their rep as a result.

The Op is not registered for VAT so providing he pays what PS asked him to pay then it is up to them to declare it to HMRC.

i thought we, as customers, would be committing an offence by trying to avoid paying the government's taxes on goods and services....that we would be equally complicit by agreeing to avoid tax...does that make sense?

either way...there's some smoke and mirrors going on from either ps or the op. i still query why it took the op 24+ hours to tell us how much he paid, either as a total or just for labour...he was blatantly avoidant which just makes me suss.

F11 SYS you are a liar my friend.

I have just done full forensic meta check on the receipt image you posted and you have edited it in Photoshop CS.

If anyone wants proof of this check I will post the report. Its long mind you.

Why the **** would you want to make up such a story??

Strange, very strange.

You are trying to stitch this lad up good and proper.
Do the decent thing and give him his cash back NOW !

Hammer, Shaun, Lordy etc etc, you all know me well, trust me the OP has been scammed by these cowboys!
I stuck my kneck out for Irfan as he is a good lad (despite his useless communication skills, bless him)

I have physically seen the original receipt with my own eyes after which I felt like slapping the OP for paying up and not calling me first.

PS, please answer why you convinced the OP to pay cash in order to avoid VAT??? Is this normal practice?

I have advised the OP not to post anymore on here ref this matter. PS please make contact with the OP, or you leave us with no choice but to come up to see you for a cuppa

Explain this then.

VAT is paid by the business.

If you walk into Tesco and buy a mars bar you have no idea if they are paying VAT...not your problem.

Proof is needed to hold your claim. By all accounts it wasnt the OP that scanned the original invoice but another member so i guess your also calling him a liar to?

It looks as though it was edited to remove any personal information, I wouldn't go jumping to conclusions...

This may be a new software editor for the database.
If this file is processed, and editor doesn't appear in list above,
PLEASE ADD TO DATABASE with [Tools->Add Camera to DB]
If Powerstations image has been edited, it has not been done with any image editing software currently in the wild, which is highly unlikely.

But yes, you are right, the F11 SYS image could well have been edited to remove personal details.

But that does not detract from the FACT that the image has been edited!

PS have no need to alter the existing invoice, they could go back into the system, edit and print a new one off! simples!

The second paragraph makes no sense.

You were too hasty to call the OP a liar when all he may have done is remove personal details.

It meant to say edited, not posted, lol, I have edited it to show what I meant!

And yes, I may well have shot the bolt on this one.

If I am proved to be wrong I have no problem in apologising to anyone, IF I am wrong that is.

I have just done full forensic meta check on the receipt image you posted and you have edited it in Photoshop CS.

If anyone wants proof of this check I will post the report. Its long mind you.

Why the **** would you want to make up such a story??

Strange, very strange.

It was me that photoshopped it to hide the OP's address, you can see that very obviously in the top left hand corner (I blurred it)

Fairplay B4D HK.

I retract my comment accusing F11 SYS of being a liar.

Apologies to both you and F11 SYS.

I knew it had been photoshopped though, lol.

I guess my career as a detective was short lived, lol

lol fair play for apologising Dozza (nice car btw)

Listen guys I dont mean to be rude but I am now going to come away from this thread. The OP has been advised by myself to stay of it too.
(BTW he does own a 800bhp Skyline, for those that were taking the p*ss on the last thread)

I think you can all make your minds up about the company in question.
VAT evasion? Producing made up invoices? Overcharging? Authorising repairs without consultation with the paying customer? Well done Power Station, YOU IS THE BEST

Powerstation have been given a chance to contact the OP and offer a refund. If they dont then, well more fools them.....

all the best H

Exclamation

full of speculation little in the way of hard evidence

This is best sorted between the OP and PS.

Come on mods enough is enough - this is voyeur paradise and hardly constructive!

Cool

This is becoming a classic thread on scoobynet

One of the major factors now by trial by scoobynet is B4D HK who is a highly respectable member of the scooby community and does for the midlands what I do for the north

Only met the guy once but he is a top bloke and is an important character witness for the op and especially when he posted up the invoice

Without H things weren't looking too good for the op against ps with a long reputation

So trying to keep up it looks like the labour was either £800or£1200 but it was a good detailed report of work done by ps

Must go popcorn van has turned up

The chances of me using Power Station was slim, due to my location.

The chances of me using them now, NIL.

To the OP and B4D HK, I hope you get some sort of closure at the end of this mess.

To Power Station, I hope your business can with stand such a slating. As there are other, and now more trustworthy companies out there that will be only to pleased to pick up the slack.

I am now following the lead of B4D and getting the flock out of here.

Mods, if there is a thread of the year award going...

Based on the proven facts, I reckon the OP has more of a plausible explanation of events...
