Well I have removed the battery tray and screen wash tank bracket and starting to weld up all the holes ready for my minimulist effort.

So then.... let me get this right.... You're relocating stuff from your engine bays to your boots to make the engine bays look less cluttered....

Jesus H Christ, why the Sam Hill would you want to do that?? So you can say "Hey, look in my engine bay - it's pretty minimal!! - but don't open the boot as it's full of engine bay stuff"

So we are all supposed to make our cars look the same? Be a pretty boring world if we did hey

Also there is such a thing as weight distribution.

So a battery and water bottle being put in a boot improves the handling then? Why not go the whole hog and put the driver in there as well....

and for the old "if all our cars looked the same debate".... if you want to be different put a large pink flashing strobe light on it and paint it like a rainbow...

You're messing with something that doesn't require it.

you got it in one mate

you dont see many people in shows and meets / track days with their boots open on show do you ?

its about clean looks and less clutter of the engine bay crap like fuse box/ battery/ washer bottle and so on which no one wants to see makes the engine by more pleasing to look at

think a well thought out boot with washer bottle mounted and battery in tray and fuel pot and pump looks great and is also good use of space that is never used

Don't see what the problem is with moving things like that out of the engine bay, It looks much better with a bit of de-cluttering under the bonnet and gets a bit of the weight shifted to the back. Can't see why people have to take the **ss just because they think there's no need
