Isn't there a sneaky way in order to get them out? Like reporting a gas leak or something so that the police have to get them out of the property in order to investigate your claim. Of course, this is then your opportunity to secure your own home to stop the coming back.
Someone on here did post something about this, but I've forgotten entirely.

Just got back from work. On leaving work I saw 2 guys using a sparkling door key, or an angle grinder to get into an empty building.
8 mins later the police arrives (I called them) and from what the squatters had done it was impossible to get to them, and the police were pretty sure they were effectively untouchable now at that time.
Ridiculous laws I have to say, turf them out, seize anything they own to pay for the repairs to the place.

Some people I knew "started" a new squat in a house they had been looking at empty for months.
(To do this they broke the lock, left it for a couple of days, then came back and entered/occupied - this was in order that they could "claim" the house was already open and that they then "legally" squatted it)
The night following their moving in, they were awoken by a group of large men wearing hoods and given 5 minutes to vacate the premises. This was in Holland Park, one of London's more affluent areas...

I don't know how many times I've posted this now, but wait for the squatters to be using electricity to boil a kettle/watch Jeremy Kyle etc and the old bill can nick them for abstracting electricity. Once the squatters are on the way to the cells, re-occupy the place. Easy.
useless *****!
what about being in someones property without permission and basically taking over the place cant you do **** about that, if not im disgusted!

Snazy, you did the right thing. The Police might not be able to do anything straight away, but at least they were alerted, in which case the owners would be alerted and they would be able to go down to the military surplus for 10x balaclavas, and the sports shop for 10x rounders bats.

The cops who turned up were trying everything they could to get in, assuming to try and prevent them staying.
Given the location, it's quite sensitive too, so not knowing what was going on, it was better to tell someone. Would hate for something bad to happen, some form of plot etc.

Yeah I agree. They were there pretty bloody quick, and trying all angles to do what they could.
Legal system really does screw things up at times, no matter how clear right from wrong is, laws seem to get it all wrong.
I would have happily turned a blind eye. That said, the place is due for demo, i say start knocking it down, and see if they still wanna stay.

As it's your gaff just get in ( smash a window if they have changed the locks) and make it uninhabitable for them. Shut off the water, electricity, gas etc. Then take the doors off the hinges so it's freezing cold and keep going till they **** off. Will cost a bit and you'd need a few days off work but it'd do the job and the old bill wouldn't be able to object.
Or get some mates, ski masks and ..... Well, you can imagine.

The Police would certainly get involved if you mashed a cricket bat into the squatter's head and you'd be on the wrong end of the law. I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to come back from a holiday to find that your house is occupied by eastern block gypsies or other scumbags.
To be honest, if I found a group of people "house jacking" my home or whatever this filth call it, the Police would be the last thing on my mind. How anyone could do anything else is beyond me. These are real homes they are attacking not empty $hitholes. They would be treated with the same sympathy as a burglar I'm afraid.
