Lol well I can confirm I 100% declined the free tickets, I quote...
Why out of interest is the perception that I would accept freebies? Freebies are not always the answer, even if they are nice at times.
Dear Lindani,
Thank you for taking the time to reply to my email of concerns, and also for the offer of complimentary Gallery tickets, which is very gracious.
I would however like to politely decline the offer of the tickets. The intention of my original email was to raise an issue of dissatisfaction with the events of the evening. Not to seek any form of compensation

I wasn't suggesting you would take freebies, far from it. I was saying that by accepting the free tickets you may look to the manageress as just waning compo as a result and not better customer service in the future. Apologies for the misunderstanding, may I offer you something for free

Sorry Les, I didn't realise you were there - had I known there was an independent witness present, I would have accepted the need for Snazy to escalate his complaint and also his refusal to accept the apology!

i got to post 26 and decided to post as the same things were been put, first of all i wouldnt have bothered complaining. if a rude member of staff spoils the film then there is obviously issues in your own head that are more pressing than the rude person. Secondly i do agree that the response letter is badly worded and unprofessional throughout, but been a cinema the manager would probably be on minimum wage have no qualifications and probably couldnt get e decent job as a manager in a decent job anyway so looking at it logically you wouldnt expect an educated reply in my opinion. Also no offence if anybody managers a cinema lol. as i dont do an educated job either

I don't just insinuate the apology was not accepted, I totally disagree that one has actually been offered if the truth be known.
"I'm sorry" + freebies is a hollow way of avoiding the issue, just as the email does.
Imagine you drive down a pothole and blow your tyre out, damaging the wheel. You email the council and tell them. They email back saying no one else has seen this pothole, and they are sorry you were unable to avoid damaging your car while driving. And post you a box of Dairy Milk lol, issue closed for you?
Please don't despair, it's ok, really :lol1

As far as I'm concerned, if a company employs someone to a position of responsibility and representation of their company, quite frankly I could not care less about how much they earn. That's between them and their employer, not me as the consumer. If you accept poor standards because you pity peoples income, I'm not sure if that is noble or stupid.

I don't think it could be more clear, but that probably explains what caused you to complain in the first place. I do agree about the triviality though, so I'm not going to waste any more time trying to persuade you of the error of your ways.

I guess the difference between us is one require sincerity, the other apparently accepts hollow words.
The suggestion that I should have accepted the tickets says it all really. Cheers for the input though, it's nice to cover all angles.

When some says they are sorry, but in the context of "oh well I'm sorry if you don't understand what i mean" as oppose to "I'm sorry there was a misunderstanding.
You could be right, I could be reading it all wrong, but either way, my full reply accepted her response as closure to the matter.
In short, sorry is an easy word to say, but can be difficult to mean, especially when you continue to paint a picture that defends your actions while saying it.

Will never know I guess. Out of interest, just for the record, im not opposed to speaking to people there and then, but made the decision on this occasion that it was not the route I wanted to take. Was irritated enough, didn't want to be more fed up before the film.

I guess it's fair to say that with all the crap I have going on, I do get a little over emotional about stuff at times. My time alone or with the missus is precious to me these days, so little things can escalate.
That said, even under normal circumstances I would not have tolerated being spoken to like that. Would rather not get banned from the place for making a scene haha.
Fussy, picky and a bit ****, I have been called them all before haha
