James Caan buying babies in Pakistan....

For goodness sake - can't you guys ever take things at face value FFS. Here was a guy obviously caught up in the emotion of the moment who made a suggestion that he very soon retracted when he took a moment to think it through. Sure the guy's whole life is money and doing deals but I really think this was the last thing on his mind at the time. dl
Advisers are a wonderful thing to have around and tell you to retract your dumb *** statement, I'm sure he has some very good ones.

Not really. He says his brother is desperate for a child - maybe they can't have children? He sees it as helping his brother and, more than likely, helping the child.
The guy is in a position where he doesn't need to randomly buy a child - he could quite easily buy one anywhere around the world - even the UK. I think he just got carried away. It would be very hard to hand a baby back into poverty.
Or was it all down to misguided western-ised guilt?

Could have just said my brother will adopt if the Parents want?
But it was all about HIM. HE could afford to put his hand in his pocket, HE was the kids savior with HIS big wealth. HE was showing the power of his money, HIS power.
