thanks for the comments, the general pricing is slightly above where i was thinking of pitching the car to be honest so hopefully someone will get a good price and it should'nt be too hard to sell.
still be doing the flocking, that business will always continue even if it takes me a while to find a nice classic to go with the diesel heap

Found it!!
Flocking is the depositing of a coating used by Train Modellers in the production of their train set landscapes .... like, for example, the grass and gravel and suchlike.
Is there a big market for train set landscapes on SN?

Don't sell the car mate, just do what I do. I have a old pug 106 which I use for work! Its diesel, its cheap, its noisey, its got a lot of miles on it but it gets me from Coast to Coast (Whitby to Whitehaven) and to work no problem every week.
It costs me £180 a year to insure and £130 a year to tax! The extra money it costs me to run two cars is saved in fuel. The plus side is you appreciate your sti more when you get in it, you keep the miles off it, it stays cleaner for longer and whenever you go tot he supermarket you can park right at the front instead of the back of the car park .
Hope to get my bits to you soon for flocking once I've sold a few things which will be cash towards the second car .

You didn't help me understand (which I would have appreciated) so I googled it. WIKI came up with the explaination I posted above .... simple as that. It now appears that it also is used in Automotive applications (although I still don't quite understand it fully, WIKI says further in the article that it is used on Rally cars dashboards to reduce sun glare - is this what you do?)
For what it's worth, google also threw this up when it searched for Flocking:-
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-Action...item414b4d0413
Now, if you have a sense of humour (and people from Manchester normally have) you will appreciate the funny side of that search result ......
