Hmmmm, yes please!!!! http://img138.imageshack.us/i/rs450frontoe6.jpg/

Was offered one of these last month, running 460bhp on a freshly forged engine, for £12k

(normal Extreme, not the RS450)

Theres not many things you can buy with 460bhp for £12,000.

You would love showing all the super cars a thing or two...espcecially if you had 2 grinning kids in the back. lol.

You need a deep wallet to run that.

I'd rather have that sort of power in a Skyline. Way stronger cars.

V spec etc etc but just dont like the look of them and will be very old compared to a similarly priced Evo.

A mates engine went pop on his R33 GTR... for a simple stronger build it came up to just over 6k

Hope you have deep pockets if anything goes wrong

If your going to buy one, you would be better getting one from a MLR member, as with importers like SVA you just dont know the history of the car what could have had problems in japan and when they buy from auction they would never know

I tried a Evo 8 at the same time as getting my STi8, it was far from standard but there was something missing when driving it... Test drive one first before even thinking about it mate, my STi8 won for me by miles... even tho im still tempted to the darkside for some reason

I had always been under the impression that Evos drive better than Scoobs but are generally more expensive. When it comes to it I suspect Ill go for a Spec D a car that suits me and my family perfectly. Always loved that car but last week has lead me to give serious consideration to the Evo side.

Please stop this right now.

I've spent the last day hunting through Autotrader, Pistonheads and GTROC looking at these, I've always fancied one arghhhhhhhhhh.
They do seem to hold their value.

The one i test drove was 400/400 according to the owner but didnt feel as fast as my STi8... but it has had a fair bit thrown at it

Yikes, Ill be careful what I say as well then as most of my comments havent come from experience but reading a loooooot of reviews from both owners and testers. I dont know if you need to experience everything to be able to share an oinion from what you learn.

As it happens, I'm sure I have seen a post where TDW has stated that he does have a Skyline.

What does that prove? Maybe your mate was running a lean tune or hadn't changed the oil in ages?

6k seems like a lot for a basic forged RB26 BTW.

Well he drives everywhere flat out on the limiter... i think he was nearly upto that many engines lol

I would rather an Evo over a liner... ive driven a few R33 GTRs and they always felt like a heavy car to me
