Trying to help them learn some basic life skills such as 'its not ok to pour petrol over Wassims head and set him alight'.

On top of that most families are so clued up with the law and social services we are often under the threat of parents and children making the most awful unfounded accusations leading to investigations into perfectly innocent members of staff, potentially ruining their careers, just because they dont like us as we are clearly 'on Wassims side'.

I know its not all like this but wind up or not, it wouldnt hurt to show a bit of respect, after all, these people are helping to mould the next generation in society.

Like I said, anybody who works in Education is regarded as scum on this site* - Pete isn't the only one. He's just the most prolific!

And I personally don't care - it's the internet so it doesn't even matter - but I can wake up and go to sleep each day satisfied in the knowledge that I do actually make a difference. Every day. Smug? Oh yes. But correct, nevertheless

*not by all, but it just seems like it!

A lot of people would have a field day and ask the mods for a separate forum no doubt just for them.

I've never even been inclined to ask. But it's obvious - fwiw, do a search (if it's working ) - there's loads of threads to do with teachers.

There seems to be enough people on this thread to answer the question without me doing a search.

*edit* looking through the thread I think I can work out why but just wandered if there was any intelligent, well informed reasons from people who actually knew what they were talking about.

Can't be that hard to find which school Pete's a governor of?

e.g.
here's one with a Peter Lewis listed:

http://www.stonebow.leics.sch.uk/Off...n%20policy.pdf

Not that I care There is definitely a shortage of GOOD teachers in this country - great to see that pillock fired recently (the first one ever?) for being cr4p at it. Given that in most industries at least 10% of the workforce should be got rid of for not being up to scratch, I dread to think what proportion of teachers, who've never had to face up to such assessment, are below-par for our kids.

The excuse that it’s just the 'internet' is pathetic and goes some way to explaining why this country is in such a bloody mess. Dole scrounging, pension drawing morons who have got nothing better to do with their time than to shoot down teachers because they are 'scum'. Sad. I bet these are the same arsewipes who, some years earlier, disrupted lessons 'cos there not intresting' (authentic spellings provided). I would laugh my head off if Mr Lewis was indeed a Governor, as this kind of thing can quite easily jump up and bite you in the ****.

Teachers are not scum. Some are a bit ****, granted. But some are life-changers. If they are scum, what does that make the rest of us? I'm sure there will be some witty retort to the last question. Fire away.

Well, I'll have a pop.... there are (as of 17:43) 475 users online, of which you appear to be a moron (your words)..... so 1 of 475 as a percentage would be 0.21052631578947367%
