New logo is great
Nice and modern and the future of subaru
It's great everyone is now behind the hatchback and the classics will be bubble wrapped and put into storage for the future

At a guess, you lot had alot more control on getting things done than we currently do (well, thats my excuse). I'm not a professional artisté, therefore anything I do to try and get the ball rolling will always be far from your high expectations. Still, it got a reaction I suppose. I did create a sensible version, but it looked boring (and would still be publically chastised regardless)

In the end of the day, all Lisa is trying to do is get a Christmas logo up and running in time for crimbo, as we didn't get one last year. And good on her for trying; She even sparked me into pulling my finger out to "help" (ahem ). Shes the one rallying around trying to get something done, and she deserves alot more credit and appreciation from users for it IMO.

I actually had to install photoshop/imageready to do my attempts - my copy is version 7.0 (dated 2002); Its that old, I didn't even know if it would work on a x64 operating system! Sadly (for you lot) it worked perfectly.
Like I said..... I would never of made a comment if I had not seen that comment from you. If you put your nuts on the block to begin with (by putting the original image up), perhaps you should not be defensive when you get a public slagging..... comes with the territory I'm afraid. I know only too well!

With power comes great responsibility!!!

Lisa,
You can change what you want, but you need to get in to the templates within VB to do it. The techies at IB should be able to sort that requirement..... not that you need it now as the current header looks a lot better.

Ahh, so what we should have done is do nothing and kept the original non-crimbo logo. Glad we got that cleared up. Likewise I wouldn't have replied if I hadn't have seen the footnote in your reply (this could go on forever).

No seriously, I know what the moaners are like on here, who would salivate at the opertunity to have a moan at a faceless multi-million pound organisation (anti-capitalist, anti-government, anti-religious, anti-police, anti-eco, etc.... I see a pattern here ), for such an amature effort. So I think its quite appropriate to stand up and say "hang on on a minute, I did this, and I only did it because you lot wanted one, and nobody seemed bothered about the competition". I also don't think its out of line to remind of the past, just incase people forget (be it good or bad).

In all probability (and this is me being cynical from probably being on here too long); I could have made anything for a crimbo logo and no matter how good, somebody will pipe up and not like it, or want this adding or that adding or this adjusting. Always being aware of that makes one unwilling to do anything, and that likely covers normal users too, some people are unwilling to post a contribution in knowledge that a fraternity will rip it to shreds. But you knew that already, so I'll just stop babbling now.

To think, I don't get paid for this either. How much did you get to deal with this kind of stuff? (that should keep the lurkers interested: over 2500 views so far ).
