Why do I work better after a few glasses of wine? ;)

Wife is away on a conference about dolphins so she can't help me, and the cat doesn't drink, wine saver is rubbish, it is too nice to throw away and if I drink it tonight I won't get up tomorrow for work as I only usually drink about 5 units a week and have no tolerance whatsoever.
A unique problem and a very good excuse for drinking in the morning
Just wanted to try it to know what it felt like. 36 going on 13 I think, I was rather straightlaced as a youngster.
I can see how retired people end up like respectable alcoholics though.

As morning drinking was often the only thing that got one through the day

JB, did you never have a drink after a night on call?
Many many years ago after a night shift at a certain London hospital we used to all head to Spitalfields market at 0800hrs and have a few pints and then a fry up, then off to bed. Best times ever. Even better if you could get one of the student nurses to share the bed with you
