I'm at that point Frayz. Won't take any more timing and more boost wont produce more power. I want to try a 25% methanol map before my planned changes over the winter to see what can be acheived in its current guise.

I think I'll get there Daz and then call it a day. Well at least I hope I'll be happy at that point anyway. I may be eating my words lol

Daz just spend your cash on mods, meths may get you more power but as a daily driver adding 25% meths would be a nightmare on any journey. I don't even think I could get away with a 20% mix as it would mean carrying soo much meths on a 500mile round trip.

You going to run Nitrous eventually on this 2.5 you are building?? What power level are you thinking of running with the gt35 and nitrous?

550 bhp hopefully would only use the nos to spool up the turbo quickly with the anti lag

You're missing the point Steve, I want to see what difference a 25% meths mix makes in its current guise.

I've got a Syvecs so having a special meth map is merely a setting on the cal switch. I have 8 maps to choose from and would just use a V power map for the every day stuff and long journeys.

Would be nice to have a before and after comparison for the next round of mods.

As for NOS on 2.5 I wouldnt unless it was a linered block. Spool up on mine isnt an issue. 1.8bar by 3500rpm with a GT35R isnt bad going

Perhaps drop Duncan Graham a note as he recently tried out Nitrous on his 2.5 and get onboard his experience of it. I would share mine but it's a different engine and besides we've not had a chance to test it out properly on track.
