I find it almost impossible to read that you had a 12 year old subaru and nothing went wrong with it - did you actually drive it? Rubber seals etc will not last forever, neither will a clutch/shocks/bearings...

You didnt read his post correctly.

He said he had to spend money on servicable items, which would include clutch shocks and bearings, along with filters, oil and bushes..
