Finished the campaign yesterday, really enjoyed that, but found some daft game breaking bugs.

The part where you are in the blackbird ordering your chaps around on the ground, when it zooms down to ground level as the soldiers enter the building you are all hiding in, my game decided i was holding down the trigger, and just started pumping bullets out none stop, at first i thought it was a game mechanic

I can not remember what i did at the time but it was a chew on to get it to stop

And on another section where you infiltrate the base and take down the radar or power grid, i must have ran into a room i should not have been in, wondering why i could go no further? it turned out i still had to kill one other chap before the script would continue.

Walked around the corner, baddie is shooting at me, but i took no damage so i unloaded a clip into him, he took no damage either, wtf?

Emptied another clip into him

It would not let me kill him unless i was actually standing in the same room as him, i only worked this out as i casually walked towards him to try and knife him, and as soon as i crossed some imaginary threshold, his bullets wiped me out.

Multi - 6/10

How far from the end of the campaign is the blackbird bit as I'm just past that?

I'm still undecided on this game

Its alot slower than MW2 and I find it alot harder to aim aswell, the wager matches are good fun, I still dont really feel like I want to play it that much though

Purchased it on Saturday and its still in the wrapper, think I will trade it in for GT5 without bothering to play it judging by the reviews on here.

Guy's its not that bad to not bother playing, i think it's on par with MW2 plus a few extra features. I'm still $hit though

Seems theres a lot of people who would rather just have them chuck more map packs out for MW2 rather than try something new

Some people just don't like change, catch22 they keep it same as mW2 people moan it's the same game. Change it and you get threads like this lol treyarch can't win

poor game, all theey need was to add a few maps and a new 1 player game and keep it like MW2

I'm still not bored of MAG so will keep playing that for the time being. I probably will get Black Ops eventually, but am tempted to get Bad Company 2 first.

to be honest i was a massive world at war fan and when mw2 came out i didnt like it but stuck at it and really enjoyed it even managed to get 10th prestige. i couldnt wait for black ops to come out but straight out of the box i am enjoying it on my way to 2nd prestige although the servers need to get sorted as lag and been booted from lobbies is a pain and the spawning takes a bit of getting used to but this has been done to try and stop the camping. just give it a chance lads every time a new game comes out because it dont play like a previous game you dont like it!!!

Having played both versions:
I own an Xbox, my brother in law owns the PS3 version.

I would say play wise it's identical, menu's look very slightly different but makes no difference really, in game the graphics I could not tell any difference between, both on similar HD tv's.

The only difference for me I found was the Xbox version gets you into games much faster, when I played on the PS3 version the waiting time to find a match (team death match) seemed really bad, don't know if things improved or not.

well spent a few hours on it tonight and its not that bad - yes its no mw2 but then again I thought WAW was rubbish

agree with the random spawning gets annoying

had a dabble on the zombie game and its ok the secret hidden game is quite good.

Ive seen both my boys hit K/D's of 35/5 of there and roundabouts on many occassions and their both 13, thats with all three of us playing in the same game using an 8meg connection so its not connection related.

The way i see it is, if people are having problems getting kills then its their own game and not something else.
Would be interesting to know what router you are using as most have trouble with connecting more than one xbox to live, that is if you are using xbox 360 that is.

Virgin BB using a D-Link router, 2 xbox's connected wireless and the 3rd with a cable.

Sometimes it can be a right pain getting all 3 of us into the same game as a party but no problems with 2.

Its supposed be 10meg but a speed test only come up as something like 8.3meg.

Well it isn't awesome, but so far i'm really enjoying it.

Been a few months since i've last played online, so not sure if that's having a bearing on it mind you. Hate the wee RC car/bomb thing and taking a bit of work to get used to getting half decent accuracy, but i certainly don't think it's ****.

The sound is still pants though, people can run right up behind you and stab you in the back with no audible footsteps rendering nija pointless. And the spawn are pure comedy sometimes.

I'm looking forward to going on tonight (after the missus has watched I'm a Celebrity! ) To see if the patches have helped with the game play.

Must be honest and say i'm sticking with it and the more I play it the more I like it. I loved World at War and hated MW2 when that came out but sure enough it became the best game I ever played (apart from Manic Minor on the Spectrum)

Wager matches are awesome and really enjoyable, must get round to actually playing on the campaign, have only been on multiplayer and zombies so far.

Most of the campaign is a headfvck. I am just shooting but I am not engaged in the gameplay at all, story flits all over the place. And it's buggy as hell in parts.

This is the only game that has ever crashed my PS3, hope the update is worth it.

there is defo a problem with lag, yeah you got a bit on mw 2 but not this bad, i can play the multiplayer practise thingy and kick *** not cos its easy but they die when you shoot them. i`m not the best player in the world but i`m usually decent but some games on bo i get my *** seriously kicked and then the next game i can do quite well. i got killed 4 times in a row straight from respawn today boy was i cussing.

i would have preferred more maps for mw2, tbh bored with bo already
